The Community Food Security Fund

“Food is medicine" is a phrase you often hear in the Office of Community Health Equity and Engagement (CHEE): an indicator of the outsized importance access to healthy food has on a person's life expectancy and quality of life. CHEE has launched the new Food Is Medicine program, which is designed to provide a long-term solution to food insecurity for Rush patients.

Your gift to the Community Food Security Fund will dismantle the barriers to good health in our communities and to our patients by increasing access to adequate nutrition and providing healthy, fresh food options for our neighbors. Your support helps Rush break down the barriers to health equity.
